ALEXANDER-CALDWELL, Sheila

Sheila Alexander-Caldwell, 39, of Vernon entered into eternal rest Monday (February 14, 2000). Daughter of Dorothy Alexander Carter, of Hartford, and the late James Moore, she was born February 2, 1961 in Selma, AL, and was a resident of Hartford for thirty-six years. Sheila attended the Hartford Public School System, graduating from Weaver High School, then furthering her education by attending the Morse School of Business. She was a former employee of the Oak Hill School for the Blind. Besides her mother, Sheila leaves to mourn her memory, a son, Earnest R. Alexander; a daughter, Shiana Alexander, both of Vernon; six brothers, Clarence Alexander and fiance, Charlene Thorpe, and Eric and Darrell Alexander, all of Hartford, Earnest Alexander of Kansas, Stanley Alexander and wife, Ida, both of Windsor, Christopher Alexander of Norwich; two sisters, Dorothy Mae Alexander, of East Hartford, Colleen Carter of Wilson; five aunts, Maggie Hightower of AL, Voncill Scruse, Virginia Morris, both of Hartford, Gloria Ann and Brenda Jones, both of AL; three uncles, Arthur Lee Jones of Hartford, Artis and Robert Jones, both of AL; three God-children, Janae Mills of Hartford, Ashton Pollard and Shawn Williams, both of Windsor; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services are Friday, 12 p.m., at the Greater St. Paul Church, 12 Windsor Ave., Windsor, with visitation from 11 a.m. Burial will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. The Clark, Bell & Bell Funeral Home, 319 Barbour St., Hartford, has charge of arrangements.

Sheila was a very nice person. Quiet most of the times, but nice to everyone. My best memories of her are when we sang together in Concert Choir with Mrs. Martin. We had a ball in that class. RIP Sheila
